almost there, but never better

Almost there, but never better

I know the semester has passed so fast and unexpected that it feels really awkward to go back home specially being a part of Trinity of almost a year and a half. Every new day, you explore new and something interesting and different. Trinity as a whole has given a lot to me and major part of it goes to Kappa Kappa delta. The relationship between all the people in the frat seems to be really long lasting. After a while, it feels more like family and a part of your system. They tend to become your best buddies even though you would be having more common things with other people. Although there are people from all the diverse cultures and all over the world, but their would be a unifying bond that would unite them us all together. A big part of this could have easily been seen during the alumni weekend where you could go to a 30 year old alumni and talk to him about his or your life easily withut any constraints. The fact that everybody is so easy to talk to and open about things makes me wonder if things can ever go better. I am glad that I am a part of such an awesome fraternity which has not only given me platform to revive myself but also some really cool friends who are up for chilling all the time!!

Ghostride ghostride.. get out of the way let casper ride

So this weekend was Halloween and kappa’s obviously had one of their biggest Halloween parties. I think if there would have been a best Halloween costume I could have definitely pulled that thing simply because I was dressed up as an Indian- a native American, so that is kind of funny if you see the irony. So to start with, It took almost two nights for the decoration and the guys did a pretty impressive job especially with the spider web all over the place in the backyard. There were also some skeleton bones and Christmas lights all over the place that made it look more Halloween.

The dance floor was ill especially because of the 7.1 home theater system, 50 inch screen with display on and smoke gas. There were neon lights and glow sticks to make it more dramatic. The party kicked off around 10 and went till about 2, which made sure that people had a lot of fun. Apart from this, the rushees and the actives of the fraternity had a really productive time in developing some conversation and possibility of knowing the rushes better. It was one of our biggest parties and I am glad it turned out well for the freshman who could get a better understanding of the fraternity.
